Meet Jeannette García

Attorney. Labor organizer. Advocate for working people.

Lifelong Democrat Jeannette García has spent her career fighting for fairness, accountability, and practical solutions that help people navigate systems that too often feel out of reach.

Through her work in public service and advocacy, Jeannette has worked alongside workers, families, and community members to push for stronger protections, more responsive government, and policies centered on everyday people — not just the well-connected.

In Yonkers, Jeannette helped organize more than 500 residents to demand accountability from developers and stronger protections for the community, bringing people together around the belief that growth should work for the people who already live here.

As Yonkers continues to grow, Jeannette believes the city’s public systems must grow with it. She is running for State Assembly to fight for lower costs, stronger public schools, affordable healthcare, better transit, and support for working people across the city.

Her campaign is focused on building a more affordable, accessible, and accountable future for Yonkers.
